A poem by Isabelle Sorrells

What new frontiers await?

As an astronaut on the globe

He shall flit across the clouds

To discover what is in the spaces we have not been

And airs we cannot be.

He will breathe the clouds and drink the earth

To place the flag on the rock.

To claim, to teach, to protect, to reach.

For our nation’s need to know will never cease.
