A poem by Isabelle Sorrells
How I wish to see the stars
How I wish to see the cosmos stretch out before me
As an ocean without bottom.
It is a sad thing
Knowing that once it was available to all the world
But now confined to various parts of it,
The few places humans do not populate
and our light does not outshine it.
I search wherever I go for an opening into the sky –
Have found only one.
Where shall I go?
Where can I run to
To see the universe above?
