A poem by Isabelle Sorrells
Emerge from the caverns of your soul,
Pull yourself up from your miseries
And use them as the stairs to your freedom.
Fix your eyes upon the light,
Do not be distracted by the underground.
It is only there because something is above.
You were never meant to be down below.
Fight and live through it,
Suffer and survive,
Hope and have faith,
Learn and use it,
But do not forget to move beyond it.
The above waits for you.
