Tomb of Sand

A poem by Isabelle Sorrells

On the surface it may be a barren waste land,

A decimation of what once was.

But if one dares,

Beneath lay treaures and secrets,

Priceless stories of what we have not known.

Shall the sands be blown aside?

Or is it a vault rather than a tomb?
